Shakespeare Authorship Question

Post by Socrates »

@Rubsy and @Ontical

We have come across this conspiracy theory that says William Shakespeare could not have written the genius works we know of today because he was uneducated, from the wrong class of people, among many other wacky, confirmation bias ridden reasons.

Top suspects for the 'real' Shakespeare are:

1.Sir Francis Bacon
2.Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford
3.Christopher Marlowe

Those who oppose the mainstream view are called 'anti-Stratfordians'. Apparently, Nietzsche was an anti-Stratfordian and supported the view that Bacon was the real Shakespeare!
