Foucault | Bio-power

I am going to attempt to quickly summarise Michel Foucault's 'bio-power'.

Sovereign power had the right to decide life and death. The father of the Roman family had the right to 'dispose' of the life of his children and slaves. Wars would break out if the Sovereign's very existence was in jeopardy, if he was to be overthrown etc. So the sovereign's right to life was exercise through his right to kill, which was formulated as the 'power of life and death' and was a means of deduction.

Bio-power, or the form of power that emerged with the rise of capitalism is a means of production - instead of 'take life and let live', a representational element was introduced - 'foster life or disallow it to the point of death'. In order to guarantee and individuals continued existence, the whole population must be exposed to death, the large scale outcomes of capitalism (longer life, improved health etc) has transformed the nature of power of the social body.

Capital punishment declined, or vanished in some countries, but deaths due to wars rose dramatically - wars are a means of production, they 'open' markets. So power is exercised and situated at the level of life, the species, the race.

The limit of power is death. Suicide, once a crime, as it is a way to usurp the power of death which the sovereign alone had the right to exercise, is a common resistance to the political administration of life as its self assigned task.

Foucault sees two poles of from of power over life (Bio-power) - centers on the body as a machine and the other focuses on the species body. The bodies were 'disciplined and docile' and the regulations of the population were the way power over life was deployed. Power over death was supplanted by the administration of bodies and the calculated management of life.

So Foucault presents to us a changing social body with power as a force responding to the multiplication of the population and the institutional bodies of discipline and punishment.

I like how he shows a mutation of power from a means of deduction to production, it's incredibly contradictory, yet it's the default reasoning people have in terms of war, some have to die so that others may live. I suppose Foucault is undermining the Humanist approach to politics and economics that we choose our options in war rationally, but power and drives are irrational.

They design the IQ tests they give themselves to affirm their idea of supremacy based on validation from "science" they control, basically lying to themselves most likely to justify racism, in-breeding, and g*n*c*d*, just like the scientific racism of their N*z* predecessors of which they are the truest and most extreme heirs, seemingly even surpassing the N*z* in how morally bereft, unempathic, cold, and inhumane they are, justified by their self-proclaimed "superior intelligence", now they've begun more mass killing and indiscriminate bombing in Iran.













What is this guy's smallish channel up to? There seems to be a lot of bio-power gene based sovereignity and authority discussion in these videos.

After Vaush and Destiny imploded and are not as useful of plants they were set up to be, it seems this guy may be the next set up, this time mildly presenting himself as antagonistic towards certain things to ingratiate himself to the anti-colonial and anti-racist protestors, but his genuineness may remain questionable for now. For such a small and recent channel, they are getting lots of algorithmic promotion and are generally getting away with things others can't without tremendous and vicious harassment, plus they are already selling pretty complex merch, which is all pretty suspicious overall.

I don't trust any of these m*th*rf*ck*rs and their slick looking influence peddling operations, no matter what sides they claim to be part of, as so many "Trojan" operations to lead people away from the truth at crucial times have repeatedly been tried, with sometimes years of gaining trust and popularity involved before the snakes or worms are exposed.

Mass murder horror is unleashed yet again while the Muslim people are not eating due to religious reasons and this is definitely important even as a symbol for morale, though they have permission to eat while under attack and the food supplies are going to be destroyed across the whole middle east.

Sadly, what needs to be done right now won't be done, and the cancerous colonial imperialism will continue to cause harm across the entire world.

People will just watch quietly as holocaust after holocaust is started on multiple populations in the name of an entirely evil and anti-human ideology hostile to all "others", starting with the Muslims and Africans and Native Americans or Indiginous populations of the Americas and the whole world, on and on, until this racist filth is wiped clean out of this planet that they have done everything to destabilize, from environmental harm to imbalancing genes and demographies. They aren't smart or good, just psychopathic and narcissistic. The whole world knows this and sees this, but they are still so brainwashed into thinking they must let the elite continue to harm the majority of the world population, including within the countries they more directly exercise power in, which they want to be everywhere else absolutely too. When will this f*cking nightmare end? The people are so docile everywhere, and the evil people are only getting more powerful with more advanced weaponry every single day. It would be helpful if Russia and China intervene, but they are villainous and want to see a threatening population depleted also and are letting these others do the dirty work. A mass revolt across the globe against any allies to the Imperial Order and their colonies should occur everywhere and abolish them from the face of the Earth, including all the wealthy colluders.

The fear of getting hit had to cease, because they are going to get hit regardless, so they need to stop being frozen and letting these criminals arbitrarily "punish" them comfortably one at a time.

They are trying to recreate the old scenarios where "all the nations attacked us and we fought them off with American weapons and won!"
