Nuclear Warfare

Post by IndieAgora »

Is there such a thing as a just war? Can a nuclear weapon/nuclear sabotage be part of those justifications?

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were and still are, the only instances of nuclear weapons being used in warfare. One can argue that this ended World War II but was it really necessary?

In terms of long lasting health damage, Hiroshima and Nagasaki had vast acute deaths from the explosion itself but most of the radiation dissipated as the entirety of the payload was released immediately. Compared with the nuclear accident (disaster) at Chernobyl in 1986, both A-Bombs were minor with radiation effects in the long term.

With this in mind, nuclear warfare now has data. Sabotage of nuclear facilities would be a much more effective long term weapon it seems but nukes continue to be on the world stage once more as a deterrent.

Multiple news sources are talking about the use of such weapons against civilians again, right now, just a few hours ago, numerous videos were produced from around the world saying, and perhaps trying to make it less likely hopefully, that such might occur in coming days, which would be just another monstrous atrocity which the people do nothing about. At this point it appears nothing will be enough to motivate anyone to do anything, no katter how atrocious or how much risk they are put in, the response now is to just sit and wait until it is our turn. Already, what has been done should have been enough, but it wasn't, so it appears that it has been proven that the population can not be stirred or moved and we are in a stage where only villainy can triumph and act in any way, and who they act against are all of us, everywhere, restraining themselves from no population anywhere.
