Anchoring as a form of malediction

Here's a video that I found extremely interesting.

Now, before we begin, I would like to say, yes, this video is from one of those 'healing communities' that talk about Narcissitic abuse and I am well aware of how they become victim cults of sorts and can do as much if not worse damage to relationships of those seeking help, than was probably inflicted by 'their narcissist' as they like to call them.

This guy was a little different however. His video is made while living in his car in a car park. He was the victim of what he has termed from a gang stalking lexicon, anchoring.

The basic premise:

To assign alternative meanings to everyday objects

He describes how through the use of language alone, certain people he was working with would subliminally attach meanings to colors and numbers that he believes were references to things he has said on his YouTube channel.

Long story short, the speech acts are designed to link negative emotions that provoke vulnerability and insecurities, it even gets to the point where he is given a code for a locker or something and the code to him, does not appear random but specifically related to what he calls 'stalker numbers', or numbers that a group of people have assigned alternative meanings to. Of course, whenever he begins to ask if these numbers, or objects, colors, words are indeed innocent, random or coincidence, he immediately feels embarrassed and thinks other people see him as completely crazy.

The psychological torture was so bad that he had to quit his job, he lost his apartment and at the time of the recording, was making YouTube videos in a parking lot.

Now, if we think of this as a kind of cursing in the sense that it is malediction, we can begin to think of magical intentions that are executed through illocutionary forces within language speech acts.

a magical word or phrase uttered with the intention of bringing about evil; a curse.

Let's ignore the 'evil' part, we could just say 'misfortune', 'madness' or 'bad' and it would carry the same weight.

J.L. Austin made a distinction between constantive and performative speech acts, so we not only describe with language, language does things. The illocutionary force of an utterance is the speaker's intention in producing that utterance. An illocutionary act is an instance of a culturally-defined speech act type, characterised by a particular illocutionary force; for example, promising, advising, warning etc.

What this gives us, is a materialist explanation of malediction.

His later points ring very true indeed. People who do these sorts of things are in my book, just bullies. This guy looks like a soft touch and they decided to single him out, the sort of place he was working at is a place I have experienced myself and it's very competitive, miserable, boring and you can't trust anyone, they will step over you the second they get a chance, even snitch on you to get you fired.

What happened to him sounds true to me, he was driven to the brink of madness and this is probably a very common occurance - many people think there is something wrong with them personally, that it's because they don't fit in, or are socially inept, when in reality, they are surrounded by very negative people who stab people in the back and do this kind of gang talking for fun. No doubt the games turned on the next one who was percieved bottom of the pile.

Very cool but it sounds a bit like paranoid schizophrenia also which has many similarities to magical thinking.
Truly, a man with God in his life in the right way, is unafraid of curses and eats them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and in between snacks.
Then again, I believe in curses, except that pieces of sh*t are not granted anything. I curse all those who do wrong and spread suffering and are true villains, may they be tortured and destroyed forever. Anyone who believes in their own power falls victim to a new sort of stress or anxiety. One can see, that evil is allowed to do harm and go unchecked and no harm seems to come to evildoers who go about happily distressing all they can. When they are finally killed, it is a cause for celebration, just as they would celebrate at tragedy for the good or clean.
I am most angry with the Power which makes all this so or has not given me the strength or power to abolish evil or kill or torture these enemies of joy. So all one is left to do is cry, inside or out, and that is how I often feel, rage and sadness, bitterness, because I am full of hatred towards vile injustice and the wicked.

I'm bringing this one back, hopefully you don't mind, also I'm using the forum site to type in the quick reply box so that the page doesn't become unviewable unless I post afterwards from here, since that is currently what occurs if I post from the main site, which I hope you can fix even though you might not care for more work on compatibility between these two linked sites.

I am reading about a lot of things, including a lot to help in a time traveling project where I just lay here as usual and using lots of calculations and information and intelligent guesseork and application of lots of information from everywhere and evrn seemongly unrelated things, end up reconstructing a simulation of wherever I might want to travel using the mighty vehicle of my particularly sharp internal computing system along with my intuition and with a hope also that I may be guided in the process to at the very least come up with something interesting, if not realistic. I do think that the tendency for reconstructionists and other designers to think "realism" means making everything terribly boring and low effort is likely not true, as there is ample evidence from throughout history that even the poorest people seemed to have enough time on their hands to make things more artful and beautiful for themselves when not otherwise oppressed or restricted from doing so, and that people were much more probe to flourishes, also in how they imagined things, than today, where people seem much more braindead and dull and everything is boring because they themselves are boring people with very little knowledge or information that they've collected, and this has been exasperated by specialization, people being told not to pursue frivolous things rather than blindly making money or doing things towards that end mainly, and finally because the young have recently become increasingly influential and encouraged to produce most of the art and entertainment and they have had no time to learn or gain much information and imagery to draw from, besides being f*cking intolerably stupid and even belligerent, which is encouraged and rewarded in the modern online culture on both sides of the dichotomous spectrum that is driven largely by American media and polutics, though there are other sources for what is influencing that from outside of the U.S.A. also.

One of the big distortions effecting people, and even the entire economy of the world like a butterfly effect, is the modern concept of "race" and most specifically dark and light, black and brown and white.

It is a mostly ignored or made too narrow and specific issue that is impacting everything. For example, toys featuring dark skinned characters tend to be ignored and then are forced to go on sale and end up cheaper because no one is buying them, then some people buy them at the very low prices, but even thrn they are often ignored, but if they weren't ignored at that point, people may end up with those images in their homes and in the case of children growing up with those images, especially the children with poorer parents or parents less willing to spend higher prices on them. It goes much further than that in relation to that example, but that is just to get you started with seeing how these calculations can spiral out and impact everything, culture, psychology, wotldwide interactions, purchasing habits, mate selection, future genetics, the spread of certain diseases then like skin cancer or other things based on changes of choices and consequences from those which could scarcely be thought of at the time people are being driven by preferrnces created through both subtle and overt prejudices in developmental periods, and the idea that development or areas where certain underdeveloped or otherwise more flexible points of thinking may be influenced can't be after some years or early stages is probably false. Neurological tests have shown that the brain continues to create new connections and change based on whatever factors it deals with, so new prejudices can certainly develop, with or without prior things in place which might make it even easier and only seemingly "new", and those can impact everything in one's life and one's world.

All this maimly starts with language, language interpretation, ideation or imagination, and the way people think about things and their reception to those ideas and how they practice using them in their own minds, much or possibly even all which is beyond their conscious control at any point until maybe after they try to get a grip on things, but it might even be too late from before they even know they can do that and even after they might try, plus there is too much coming in which is dealt with instsntly and automatically so that they really couldn't control most of what occurs to them or even most of how they end up reacting to things because they might not have even caught on to it to try.

So it ends up being a matter of luck, while creating or furthering domething that can have a major impact iltimatrly is almost too easy, like coughing and spreading a pandemic that changes everything.

Re-reading this after nearly 10 years lol

It sounds alot like that Black Mirror episode where the kid who was bullied creates a quantum computer of sorts that can manipulate reality and she uses it to effectively gaslight a woman who bullied her in school.

I think I was still healing and a bit insecure at the time of this post. Now I recognise bullying tactics very quickly and immediately gtfo or do something that bulies hate - confront them immediately.

I'd be interested in seeing reviews and reassessments and new approaches and critiques of your posts and understandings from the past with new comments, points of change, growth in the same line if and when it might have occurred if you've held on to some things from that time but continued to develop them or in which cases the whole thing might have been skipped over and only loaded up to that point where the post is evidence of something you may have been thinking about but didn't continue to think about. All that sort of thing, human development and wisdom from further thinking and experiences, is of a lot of interest to me, maybe one of the most interesting things for me and what I'm often trying to deal with or get out of the various things I explore, introspective assessments of myself and from others, theories as to what it might be and why people may think certain ways and what could be credited for shifts.

I've realised that you are posting on the forum snd not on Atrium so the script doesn't register your post. Therefore it works.

Aha! I think you've figured it out! Yes, I am using the forum site for all these recent posts, and I haven't used the other site since I last tested it. Should I try using that site for a post?

This is from the main site. I'll check my email right after sending this to see if I received anything.
