My name is Sophie, I recently resurrected a message thread many of us were attached to from nearly a decade ago. I am driven by a “voice” (who, in ode to classic literature, I will refer to as my Familiar Daemon, a sentiment adopted by Socrates) within me that guides me on occasion to reach out to specific souls, interestingly this muse encouraged me to reinstitute everyone I once new in one familiar place, albeit a new place now. Oddly timed it appears, as this forum seems to coincide with my timing. Regardless, hello, it is a pleasure to meet you all and I am eager to grow this place and those involved with it. Though I am still figuring out my own reasoning for doing so, this simply feels right, an accumulation of deeper minds perhaps.

Thank you so much for getting started! I hope this place will be of great benefit to you and all of us and any you may end up collecting together here.
For some reason this thread is only appearing in the updates area on the main site which shows the activity wall, but I can\'t see it in the forum. You can also try posting in threads to see if your posts stay up, but I\'m going to contact atreestump to see what the issue might be.

Yeah, I think that is a good idea and a necessary one to keep the site from being spammed by new users who are bots. Sorry if there was any alarm at all about the very brief delay in it showing up for me.
I'm very excited to see more of what you've been thinking about these days. This first thread of yours can function as a central office for you where you can write about yourself and non-specific things that come to your mind or which you would like to share, and other threads that you may make can end up covering particular themes you may like to collect together or even discuss some very specific topic or question you would like to hear from others about.
I was viewing your website and I was so proud to have gotten in touch with you abd to know you as your talent is tremendous and definitely outstanding as in out of the ordinary!
Are you self taught and are you also taking your own photographs? I'd love to know the technical details as I'd want to learn how to take good photographs myself too but it has been years now of being pretty disappointed with imagery while years ago I even managed to adjust very old web cameras to take very cool images!
Photography and art is very important to me as I still retain a dream to someday be able to make and be in my own films.
Do you also do other artistic and creative things besides what is displayed on that website?
Also, even if a comment or a topic is very old seeming at this point, anywhere on the website, feel free to reply to it as if it was just made and to get any discussion going again or even to repeat or make your own versions of topics that you'll be able to curate more as the first poster.
Also, we're all having little issues, like with my phone keyboard and some others are also seemingly having keyboard issues so please don't mind the typos you may see here and there, these are all people who have shown to me an impressive ability to write and an unusual or more rare seeming willingness to study and explore unique ideas.

Welcome Sophie — and welcome back to the spirit of that old thread. It’s fitting that you call it a “resurrection,” because that’s exactly what communities like this thrive on: the return of voices, ideas, and dialogues that meant something before, and can take on new meaning again now.
The timing does feel uncanny, but maybe that’s just how the right spaces tend to reappear when they’re most needed. I look forward to seeing where your Daemon leads the conversations, and how we all grow this place together.

I try to keep in touch with popular culture somewhat and the state of what is prominent in society. So things with a lot of fuss around it, even if I don't like it, I try to be somewhat familiar about such things. So I watched the Taylor Swift Eras Tour live and I listened to her latest album after it now. I thought it was the shakey visuals of the person streaming it from their phone that made me feel so sick, but it turns out that same feeling occurred without any visuals at all. The songs are pretty bad, and the lyrics are just terrible for someone being un-rightfully called a poet and a genius and whatever else. She makes even things I consider terrible seem a lot better, more musical, and listenable.
The songs are a descent, seemingly getting worse and eorse, and they are very much like a mad fever dream of almost non-sequitur seeming words, visuals, and concepts that don't mesh or have any apparent rhyme or reason except being the merest of most basic reasonings like some word that is excessively descriptive of darkness, so "onyx sky" lol, like it is really bad and childish and she has not advanced in her writing but may be getting quite a bit worse with each new effort. There are lyrics that are so cringe in this album that it is shocking, but especially when it is written out and read back, as her singing can mask what she is saying and how astoundingly and stunningly embarassing it looks as text.
The music makes me feel so overheated and sick, so I don't know what kind of sounds she is putting in that it makes me feel that way as compared to just about everything else, and every time I've listened to her, I feel like I'm going to puke and then have to run and my stool is soft, the vomit comes out as my bowels evacuating.
