Species being- (Gattungswesen) is defined in Karl Marx’s manuscripts as what humans creative and social capacity for meaningful labor (which separates us from animals). It is the true nature of humanity rather than the byproduct of capitalism. For Marx, humans are social and creative beings.
In capitalist societies, people are alienated from their species being in three ways:

1) From the product of labor- workers don’t own what they create
2) From the act of production- Work becomes forced and monotonous
3) From their fellow humans- Work becomes competition rather than cooperation
4) From their own species being- Labor no longer expresses human creativity or community

Capitalism is dehumanizing, fundamentally incompatible with our nature itself, is the claim

What do yall think?

As hard as I work it always pains me to see fellow workers playing blame games, telling tales and being competitive with each other.
