Whatever the true reason, a group of elves fled into the Caves of the Craven below the Calphiak Mountains, believing that they could escape the surface world's destruction by simply delving deep enough into the Darklands. It transformed them, turning the hues of their eyes into a sinister red or bleached white, and made their flesh of an unearthly lavender sheen,9 and replaced the race's natural tendencies towards independence and good with Rovagug's evil; these elves became the first generation of drow.2

Paizo published a section about drow in Monster Codex, a major article about the drow of Golarion's Darklands in Darklands Revisited and some detail in Blood of Shadows.
With the publication of Heavy is the Crown in 2023, Paizo retroactively removed drow from the Pathfinder campaign setting as part of the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project. Many of their prior roles in the Darklands are now filled by sekmin and Ayindilar elves.

Re: Lolth
Somewhere I just saw that the word "reclise" has recently been mentioned again. When I tried to find where that was mentioned, it only came up with results for where I have brought up the word, but I thought that still may be interesting to look into since you were looking it up recently:
viewtopic.php?p=2118&hilit=Recluse#p2118
This is from 2017:
viewtopic.php?p=1714&hilit=recluse#p1714
and finally the most unusual one:
viewtopic.php?p=3461#p3461
This last one doesn't show up in the search results for "Recluse" or "recluse", but it does show up for "recluses", so it might be alright, but it may be too sensitive of a search that would require remembering the full and more exact word and spelling used and doedn't bring up anything similar, though sometimes that can be a bit annoying too, especially when it puts other related results ahead of the most recent and more relevant one, as I've seen occur on some other searches. Searches have become very irritating over the last few years as compared to a period where I was getting some amazing results in earlier days of the internet. They should make it so that repeated information is put further back, that things may be more chronological also, that unique information is prioritized so that the next result has different information, and copiousness or exhaustive on topic information should also be preferred, while not falling for tricks like just arbitrary spam of a certain word.
I think that the conditions are increasingly becoming such that many people worldwide are retreating, feeling alienated, and are becoming increasingly isolated as a defense against the belligerent way in which people and very likely bots with agendas are being wielded against the public, extremely impolite and downright threatenjng interactiond becoming normalized with no way for any favorable outcome or repercussions, it has just become pretty ugly seeming out there so a lot of people are taking it out even on their own closer friendships online and cutting themselves off from a lot more, yet still finding it pretty convenient and low effort to continue to consume what is very probably acting like poison coming from the coup de tat of news media overtaking much of social media and formerly mainly entertainment platforms.
