As an apocaliphile, I felt this was probably worth a watch. I haven't seen it yet as I am at work but will be adding more detail later.

Re: Societal Collapse
Do you prefer when the doom is very big and all encompassjng or are you also interested in personal doom and tragedy or catch 22 type frustrations which might only be particular, on a smaller or even an individual scale?
For me, Universal Doom can be comforting in some ways, and people's tragedies fill me with dread, while personal disruptions make me sad and angry, sadder the more helpless they feel, angrier possibly if I feel there is still something thsr could be done which isn't. In any story where I sm singularly the loser, I am probably least happy, and in one where everyone loses equally, the least unhappy, but the most happy where either I or probably everyone else also is benefited and pleased, good for all, though I'm fine with good for me in particular too, but I don't need others unhappy or at a loss for me to be happy and I'd prefer no negativity or unhappiness for anyone at all. I think that some people, like those who cause trouble and do harm to others, deserve nothing but the worst, but the ideal scene and scenario would be no one doing anything nasty in the first place and no one made unhappy or at a loss and no one outdoing or stealing anything from anyone, no game of that sort where one gains and the other loses, but if there is going to be loss for people, it shouldn't be that some are more lucky and others are more unlucky, all sorts of unfairness is one of the major complaints, and most sane humans and other creatures would all generally want similar things, like to hsvr their needs met, to feel comfort, pleasure, security, and freedom to pursue their interests, which would likely not be all that invasive or perverse if they weren't messed up in some way or reacting to things already far gone in some way.
People should see if it is possible to step back and get to even just invent a very basic version of themselves, the kind thst isn't made out of reactions or designed for particular interactions, except maybe with their own reflection. Everything I want for myself and others is good. That they look good, feel good, have everything good thag they want, and are in good spirits. Then it can also make it seem clear as to who seem to be the ones keeping that in various ways from the general populace. The whole mentality if the world, especially "leaders" and "managers" should be beneficence and grace, giving good and making good. Doom scenarios that are not natural disasters from space or something seem to all be from the acts of a few thoughtless, inconsiderate, and greedy people who are yhe opposite of beneficent and seem to be malicious, like they love seeing people scurry around terrified based on their actions hording up and away all good things, dangling them but keeping them out of reach, bringing it near to some and tearing it away, there is a frustrated sadism that seems to permeate human culture since ancient times if the stories they choose to repeat endlessly are anything to go by. There is also an evil in pointing the finger towards those who really can't reasonably contribute anything for better or for worse to the course of any events for the most part, as if the ways that they have been coerced to survive as the normal way things are done are the responsible party for everything going wrong when it seems that a lot can be solved by just a few very reluctant overlords.
