Atrium is live!
Basically when you get to the site you will be prompted by a login/register module. Use your credentials that you use here or on Stream - both will work.
Then, you will see three tabs. Connect, Discuss, Stream.
You want to click on Discuss. (I'll keep it simple for you specificially as that is where you are going to be most active.
In that tab there are three more tabs.
New = New posts.
Unread = Unread Posts
Agoras = The Agora list. This is exactly the same as visiting the homepage for this section of the site. https://forum.indieagora.com/index.php It allows you to choose which forum section you want to visit. When you click on the Agora (what is called a forum here) you will see a list of all the topics in that Agora/forum. Click on it and you will open the topic as it does here.
Create Agora = This allows you to create your own forum! That's something that isn't available here. Basically you create the Agora and then it will show up on the Agora list where you can post your own topics and posts. You will also have moderator privileges so you can control spam/inappropriate content, nuisance users etc.
In the New post feed, or the unread post feed you have the option to share the post to Connect, copy the post link to clipboard or reply.
Clicking on the post in the feed opens the topic as it would here.
You can search for users, topics and replies in the search bar.
To start a new topic go to Agoras > Open the Agora you want > Click where it says 'Create a post' (near the top of the Agora page) > This expands a composer module (looks like the quick reply tools at the bottom of a phpbb thread.) > Then type in the composer at the top of the page which will allow you to give your topic a title, add the text content, add attachments and then post it.
To reply to a topic, you visit the topic and either click post reply at the top, click the quote or reply buttons on each post, or scroll to the bottom of the page to open the composer yourself. Once you submit your reply it will show your reply in the topic thread.
You will easily be able to navigate and use this in no time. It's very mobile friendly.
To ban users from your Agora, you click the icon next to their username to boot them and if you wnat to reinstate them, you just click the same icon and it adds them back in the Agora so that they can post again.
More features will be added later which allow users to joi your Agora, where you can set rules for your Agora and more, cover photos for the Agora....
I will impliment more moderation features later too.
For now though, the new Atrium system allows you to :
Create forums.
Create topics.
Create replies to topics.
Upload attachments.
Share links easier.
Everything you need to continue your experience here.
There are some features which will not work yet -
Notifications.
Connect profile functions.
Stream will just be a feed of videos and channels for now.
Messages work but users are not notified.
The post icon in the bottom navigation bar will not do anything yet.
The notifications bell in the bottom navigation bar will not do anything yet.
Some dropdown menu features in the profile icon in the bottom nav bar will not work yet.
You can login and logout/ register.
For now though, Discuss is the busiest part of the site. It will be more enjoyable to use than phpbb or the wordpress site we have been using.
Hope this helps.
This post will still be available when Discuss goes live so you will be able to see this post while using it.
I just made it go live.
Hope you enjoy it. Any snags? Let me know.
Sidenote: It might be that the forum site has to go because it conflicts with the permissions of this site. We will have to see if I can reconcile this.

Re: Atrium is live!
I received an email that I received a message on the main site, but whrn I clicked the link it said there is a critical error, then when I tried to navigate to just thr main site it gave another critical error message. I don't mind and this is not a complaint or anything, you probably know about it, but judt in case it helps, I wanted to mention it. If you're rrlaxing, taking a break, stressed out about it, don't eorry about addressing dny of it right now as I don't think it is an urgent or crucial matter at this time, since it is just you, me, and whisper mainly, and mostly you with the website work, me with the "content" and "notes" for the most part, and everything is mainly going at a pace similar to before, and we're not yet dealing with many others, except maybe viewers, some or possibly all of which might be bots or not genuine, friendly, decent people willing to interact, as the internet seems totally inundated with trolls when not bots eho have dome kind of agenda or are "bad actors".
I'll write about something I saw in a film today.
Here are the error images:

Very sorry about that the critical error was due to me implimenting a new plugin that will allow us to use the Stream tab. As Discuss is now relatively stable, I have started on Stream. The error has gone now.
It's proving to be an absolute nightmare to be honest but I think after 6 hours, I have figured out a way to get it to work.

Re: Atrium is live!
It is hard for me to do anything else when I want to work on something or get something done, even if it is extremely frustrating. As frustrating as it may be for you though, you have a recent track record of getting the work done favorably in a relatively quick period of time overall, meaning you come thtough the frustrating stuff and have it done really quickly in most cases that I've seen recently, so I think that even if you don't want to take a break from it that it will be over and you'll come through successfully very quickly. In my case though, I want to try to figure out how to stop or what I'm even doing and why, like I don't get all that much pleasure out of some of the excessive information gathering that I do, but the reasons I do it likely start with pursuing something pleadurable to me, but then it just gets into rabbit holes, very difficult to come by information, collecting and sifting through huge amounts of information for little tidbits of data, and why I'm even doing it or what I'm getting out of it gets confused. Like what am I doing it for or who can any of it even be communicated to?
I've been pursuing a lot of closely related things recently, and at least they are closely related seeming to me as too many disparate interests at once would be even more overwhelming, but luckily I can simultaneously advance in multiple areas through any of the particular areas of research that can apply to other things at the same time, but I still have to think back to what I would like to do with any of it or the even more painful calculation of what I can even do at this time with any of it. Sometimes I wonder if just lsying totally still is all I'm actually capable of and have the respurces for, but that I'm eorking way beyond my means and capacity and have been for decades now.
So the most recent thing has been about an Island now called Sifnos, which may have once been called Akis, and moreover piracy in the mediteranean in ancient times in particular, all because of a tiny moment in a clip from a game that barely has any information about it out there due to poor promotion, called Total War: Troy.

Yes please, if you don't mind, a video that discusses everything and updated or changed features might make it easier to try working there again if it allows posting currently. So far I'm using the forum site and it is mainly going smoothly and I've been posting more than I had been for a while.

Thank You! That is extremely kind of you to take the time to make that, I appreciate it a lot and hope that it will help me and anyone else who might see it while it applies or others that you might make if necessary due to changes.

Re: Atrium is live!
Fantastic and really clear explanation of everything so far.
I haven't tested it out yet on Chrome or Firefox since seeing the video just now, but I noticed one potential issue I may face, and possibly another, which I'll explain through discussing my typical process for posting currently, using the forum site, which I'm extremely grateful is still functioning and connected to that site, and which I also hope might continue due to these factors which make it slightly easier for me to use, except that the main site could potentially adopt things that would make that similar enough in certain areas.
So my process is typically like this:
I type f or fo in the address bar of any browser and it comes up in the address bar and I click enter.
I go to one or the other of the two sub-forums or agoras, usually the one with the old posts from 2017. If it wasn't for halting me from repurposing thread titles, I might be bumping many more older threads and also changing their names to some single title to help me with remembering what I want it to collect.
This is the important part, as I don't have to scroll through lots of text, but instead see an extensive list with lots of titles making it much easier to reach the thread I want to, and I've bumped and continue to bump a set of mostly my threads or threads which I repeatedly make use of, so the list is not that big and the title should appear at least among the first three pages, though I wouldn't mind a view which shows even more or everything on a single page, but I very quickly can find whichever thread I want to go to with the way it appears on the forum site, and it looks a lot more difficult on the other one to quickly get to the thread I intend to, though the search might be fine if I specify it is a totle or a part of a title, but might bring up other things if I've mentioned the title elsewhere and don't use a title specific search. I would prefer a page that lays out the titles to how they appear on this forum site, for quick selection and to see the order of threads and what is getting more attention and less attention, by seeing what falls lower on the list or on later pages if it has gone so far as that if there are multiple pages. When there are multiple pages, ideally I like it when all the numbers for the pages are listed if possible so that I can click further off, but sometimes that might not really be feasible or neat looking if there are too many pages, though sometimes it is aldo annoying getting to further pages on sites that don't show some of the numbers and require lots of clicks to get further more quickly.
After I find my thread, I scroll to the quick post box at the bottom usually and start typing or copy pasting links with further text from those links. Doing that involves clicking out of the page numerous times. Sometimes I lose all my writing in the process, so that when I return it isn't saved and doesn't show up again, but it happens only rarely when I accidentally click something else on the page which I am typing or somehow click back, and maybe sometimes when the page reloads or is refreshed. Ideally I'd like my text saved in the quick post box no matter where I might go, even if I go to another page on that same page and click back or return to that thread in another window or even another browser while logged into the same account.
Once I have collected my collage of ideas and implications, I click "Submit", though I frequently return and add more using the same process and sequence of actions.
Recently the forum site has become slightly more difficult to read sometimes when the text appears squeezed and larger and there is a lot of text, as I may want to quickly move to certain areas of the text and any sort of squeezing makes the scrolling process more difficult and also finding specific areas visually that might get passed, making the "find on page" option in the browser more necessary, but sometimes I might not know the exact eords or letters that will take me where I'd like in the text or the letters I do remember are too vague and present in too many other words.
Though I have not yet tested the site since watching the video, I thought that these issues might come up which would make me hesitant to use it, especially when this flow here on the forum site is very rapid for me and I breeze through huge amounts of information that I'm aldo able to post rapidly, finding the thread I want due to how it is displayed. I'm able to navigate this site very easy and go back and forth without any difficulty, and I can see many more thread titles listed immediately and get to where I'd like significantly faster than I could if I have to scroll through them with a lot of text one at a time and can't see very many titles listed on the screen at once.
I fear that a lot of the pleasure I feel breezing through everything as I do on the forum site might be lost. I aldo noticed the "Light" button, but I'm not sure if that is set up yet, but I prefer this lighter color scheme.
The tutorial was great and the site looks great, though if I was an outsider I'd likely also have a hard time finding anything of interest quickly if the first few things appearing aren't of interest, and I think that there could be some better ways or at least options for how the site displays which might make it look more fun or more copious in what it is offering, with lots immediately visible and offered to click on.
Ideally, I'd prefer YouTube to show more as well, but the way that it typically shows up for me is also very limited when using the main search function, and it shows only one or two big video thumbnails at a time, so I prefer instead when I see a particular user's page with many more videos visible simultaneously and ideally I like options that show me as much as possible at once and allow me to open new windows and copy links and text in commrnts as easily as possible. Recently YouTube has stopped letting me copy text from comments, which is frustrating, so if I ever see some information I may want to remember or refer to or use, now I have to take a screenshot, but I don't like doing that, since if I want to save it here then I eould have to upload it somewhere.
I aldo dislike how annoying and Sissyphus-like it is to scroll through and see all items and move and delete them in Amazon, and also to some degree but in some different ways on Ebay. Even BigBadToyStore has some frustrating elements on certain parts of the site, and really all these things are probably bad for their businesses. Amazon requires over 50, possibly 60 more or less clicks to reach the end of the saved items, and moving things to the cart or deleting them is painstakingly slow after the very long process of reaching the bottom, also only a few items even show at a time in the phone's window due to the size of the information box or rectangle for each item. They also don't offer mass deletion easily, otherwise I might delete a whole lot, and they don't even have selecting multiple items for deletion or moving into the cart. I'm mentioning these things since there are some similarities with my preferences for navigating any site. I dislike Reddit for a number of reasons, from difficulty copying text to opening text to hidden text, a lot of it is a major pain for me, and I barely understand how to use it, and it is annoying how it now comes up at the top of most searches where I might have a question, which they never seem to answer, though I barely even know how to use the site to more directly ask anything and wouldn't really want to since the way they type and communicate is infuriatingky obnoxious, provoking rage, but now I have been very frequently ending up there since it shows up at the top of many of my searches when I,'m researching things. I feel very alienated from whatever types of people are on there and also the way they seem to not mind continually attempting to communicate with each other, they don't seem like people I'd ever like to hear from or communicate to about anything, like I'm in a totally different mental, emotional, and spiritual space as whoever is typing on there based on every response and petulant and petty argument I've seen on there.
I haven't posted any comments on YouTube for a long time now, or really anywhere, and I've even been very hesitant to call any of these businesses even ehen it eould be useful to do so, so I've been increasingly cut off. Now collecting information, probably mainly for myself as has always been the case, is done here on the forum site, pretty much exclusively, as there is no one on the other private site, emails are few and far between and mainly only ever rarely with Ruth regarding updates on what dhe is doing with her plans that I don't agree with, and I have even been passing on some calls from family as they may tend to stress me out, make me feel a bit bad, waste my time, and often occur when I'm just about to eat or something. My sleep schedule is really messed up and I'm sleeping quite late and not feeling much energy to do much during the day, though recently and really for years now I've been swimming through pretty much endless seeming oceans of information which gives me some sense of pleasure, in a variety of ways or directions, covering different sorts of needs or areas, even though the way that they achieve that for me may not be easy to explain briefly, and these would be theories as to how I might be detiving a sense of pleasure and satisfaction from all kinds of information that I process and also apply to myself or associate with on different levels. Its like moving or exercising ir doing something while almost entirely still, or like daydreaming.
