I'm thinking of implementing a new feature for quotes.
At the moment if you hit the quote button it quotes the entire post. If I only want to quote a small section I have to manually copy and paste.
On the old forum in 2017, you could select a small section of text and it would give you option to quote ONLY that text in the reply.
This feature will be Atrium only.

Re: Quote system
Sounds good! My only concern might be in copy pasting the text with a long highlighting over everything and how it shows up, since I very frequently drag over everything and copy paste it, ideally without having to stop and separately copy paste something in a box that isn't highlighting or getting copied and pasted.

That's what it will do.
You will highlight the bit you want then press Quote Text from a drop down that automatically appears

Re: Quote system
Yeah, I'd love to see how it works, also for multiple, separate chunks of text from within a post, even multiple posts if that were possible. For now though, I'd love to see what you come up with!

That's a good shout actually.
I've just noticed that the post reply composer has no memory- if it had some memory you could select multiple quotes.
